JBA and Oman Chamber of Trade & Industry organize d the Oman – Jordan Business Forum on 13/12/2016 in Muscat , which is held according to the recommendation of the Joint Ministerial Committee between Jordan &Oman , to coincide with the 5th Arab –India Partnership Conference , in order to activate the MOU signed between JBA and the Chamber that was signed last year . JBA delegation was headed by HE Mr. Hamdi Tabba’a and included businessmen representing trade , industry ,health care, education , IT, and engineering consulting sectors . In the opening session , Mr. Rida Bin Juma’a Al Saleh , Vice Chairman of Oman Chamber addressed the participants and reviewing the bilateral economic relations , he said that 226 Jordanian companies operate in Oman with capital investment of JD 13 mill. In the fields of contracting , transport, education , tourism , agriculture , mining , industry and finance .HE Mr. Abdallah Nsour , Jordan Ambassador praised the relations between Jordan and Oman and stressed the importance to benefit from the signed agreement to maximize the trade exchanges that are below expectations reaching $71 mill .
HEMr. Hamdi Tabba’a reviewed the cooperation opportunities present in the services sector especially higher education , health care, IT, and contracting in addition to investment opportunities , benefitting from the free trade agreements that open major world markets to the Jordanian exports . Mr. Bilal Hammouri from Jordan Investment commission made a presentation on the investment climate in Jordan , and Dr. Abdallah Al Basheer , Chairman of Jordan Hospital briefed the participants on the health sector in Jordan followed by Mr. Ali Madadha , chairman of Jordan industrial states company who made a presentation on the incentives offered by the industrial estates in Jordan .
