The Jordanian Businessmen Association stresses the importance of strengthening Jordanian-Mexican relations

The chairman of the Jordan Businessmen Association HE Mr. Hamdi Al Tabbaa, met with the Jordanian Ambassador to Mexico, Mr. Mohammad Al-Tal, to discuss strengthening economic, trade and investment relations between Jordan and Mexico.

During the meeting, Al Tabbaa stressed that Jordan have a number of industrial cities and development zones in addition to Aqaba Special Economic Zone, which offers a distinctive package of investment incentives through which foreign investors will be able to achieve the desired return on their investments.

He pointed that Jordan has an open economy with the rest of the world, with many free, bilateral and preferential trade agreements which the Mexican side can take advantage from it.

For his part, Tal stressed the important role of JBA in promoting the Jordanian investment environment and informing the rest of the world of the most important investment opportunities and advantages available in Jordan, expressing his hope in strengthen and develop bilateral relations between the two countries.

It is worth mentioning that the volume of trade exchange between Jordan and Mexico amounted to about 309.6 million dollars in 2018, where the value of Jordanian exports to Mexico amounted to 8.2 million dollars concentrated in the plastic and garment accessories industries, while Jordanian imports from Mexico amounted to 301.4 million dollars concentrated in Vehicles, optical and photographic instruments, in addition to machinery and mechanical devices, Where trade with Mexico accounts for 1.10% of Jordan's total trade with the rest of the world.
