Jordan, Sri Lanka discuss economic ties
28/06/2020
President of the Jordanian Businessmen Association (JBA), Hamdi Taba'a, discussed with the Ambassador of Sri Lanka, Shanika Dissanayake, means of boosting bilateral economic ties and enhancing cooperation.

During a meeting at the JBA's headquarters, Taba'a underlined the importance of enhancing investment cooperation, pointing to Jordan's diverse investment opportunities and incentives and benefits packages that the free and development zones offer.

He also highlighted the Jordanian economy's promising sectors, most notably the tourism, information technology, financial and banking sectors, stressing the need to increase visits between the two countries' trade delegations after the global pandemic situation is stabilized.

He called for a joint business association between the private sectors, noting that it would contribute to strengthening trade relations and attracting investments.

Dissanayake underscored numerous opportunities to increase the trade volume and support joint economic relations, pointing out the embassy's commitment to cooperate with the JBA to organize future investment activities.
